Lucknow, Feb 25: Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is all set to address three election rallies on Saturday in the poll-bound state of Uttar Pradesh ahead of the fifth phase of Assembly elections. Gandhi will be addressing public in Bahraich, Gonda and Sultanpur districts.

Apart from Rahul Gandhi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav will also address public at seven places. He is expected to address three rallies in Siddharthnagar, two in Basti and two in Sant Kabir Nagar on Saturday.

Earlier on Friday, while speaking at a public rally in Basti, Gandhi had attacked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his ‘Kabristan’ remark, that he had made in a rally on Sunday, while saying “When he gets sacred, he tries to create tension between two religions”.

“When Modi ji gets scared, then he tries to spread communalism and create tension among people belonging to two religions. He tries to spread poison in the society,” said Gandhi.

Modi, in a speech on Sunday, had said: “If you create kabristaan (graveyard) in a village, then a shamshaan (cremation ground) should also be created. If electricity is given uninterrupted in Ramzan, then it should be given in Diwali without a break. Bhedbhaav nahin hona chahiye (there should be no discrimination).”

Rahul Gandhi also said that the voice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was “feebler even than that of a mouse”. “The voice of PM, who boasts about Make in India, is not of a roaring lion, but even feebler than that of a mouse,” Rahul asserted at a poll meeting in Mahsi assembly constituency which goes to polls on February 27.

Uttar Pradesh is witnessing seven-phase Assembly elections that began on February 11. Till now, four phases of the election have been completed in the state and over 60 per cent voter turnout has been recorded in each. The polling in the state will end on March 8 and the counting of votes will be held on March 11. (For full election coverage CLICK HERE)
