Lucknow, Dec 1: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates who won in the civic body polls. He even thanked 4.50 crore voters of the state for coming out in huge number and voting for BJP in the Uttar Pradesh Local Elections 2017. He credited the victory in the Uttar Pradesh Local Elections 2017 to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and BJP chief Amit Shah’s strategy.
Adityanath said the results of the Uttar Pradesh Local Elections 2017 is an eye-opener for the Congress which is dreaming about winning Gujarat. In a veiled attack on Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Those who are talking about Gujarat could not even open account in Amethi.” Rahul Gandhi is a three time MP from Amethi.
He even expressed confidence on winning the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections and said that the BJP will register path-breaking victory and will come to power again.
The BJP has registered victory in nine Nagar Nigams and is ahead in five others.
The counting of votes for Uttar Pradesh Local Elections 2017 began at 8 AM on Friday. The voting for the same was held in three phases on November 22, 26 and 29. The main competitors in the Uttar Pradesh Local Elections 2017 was the BJP, Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party, among other parties.
