New Delhi, August 10: Senior IAS officer Mukesh Pandey who was recently appointed as the District Magistrate of Buxar reportedly committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on Thursday. Cops recovered hi suicide note from room 742 of Hotel Leela located in Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi. Mukesh had left his cell phone in Janakpuri area which was also recovered.
Why did IAS Pandey end his life?
As per sources, it is believed that he was unhappy in his personal life and his relations with his wife had grown bitter. Before ending his life, disturbed Pandey made a telephone call to his family saying that he is upset with his life and lost trust in truth. He also informed his family that he was going to commit suicide in Delhi. Hearing this, the family panicked and apprised about this to a designated police officer in Chhapra in Bihar who then informed the police in Delhi.
Delhi police acted promptly and immediately went in search of Pandey who had also mentioned to his family that he will leave his suicide note in Delhi’s Leela Hotel, reported Live Cities. Working on the inputs received by the family of Pandey and the suicide note navigated cops to Piccadilly hotel in Janakpuri where the cell phone of deceased was found. The Delhi police immediately altered about the entire episode and meanwhile they received a call from Ghaziabad Railway police who informed that IAS jumped in front of a moving train.
A team of Delhi police reached Ghaziabad railway station and identified the body of IAS Pandey which has been sent for post mortem. After identifying the body the cops came to know that he had laid his head on the railway track to end his life. The deceased had come to Delhi to visit his ailing uncle.
