Copenhagen, October 8: Decapitated head and legs of a Swedish journalist Kim Wall were recovered by divers, said Danish police on Saturday. Wall had disappeared in August after interviewing a Danish inventor aboard his homemade submarine.

“Divers found a bag that contained the clothes of the journalist, her head and legs in Koge Bay,” Jens Moller Jensen, the Copenhagen police inspector told reporters.

On Friday night the forensic dentist of police confirmed that it was Wall’s head.

On August 21, her headless torso was seen floating in waters off Copenhagen. This was eleven days after she went missing. Peter Madsen, the Danish inventor, has been accused of Wall’s death but prosecutors say he cut her limbs before throwing it overboard.

The 46-year-old Madsen claims that the deceased died after a 70 kg hatch door fell on her head and in panic, he threw her body overboard, reported PTI. ” Her body was not damaged at that time,” claimed Madsen.

But Jensen said the decapitated head contradicted Madsen’s version of events. There is “no sign of fracture on the skull and there isn’t any sign of other blunt violence to the skull,” he said, citing an autopsy carried out overnight.

Locating Wall’s head has been a priority for investigators, as the final autopsy on the torso was not able to establish the cause of death. However, it did show multiple mutilation wounds to Wall’s genitals.

” Madsen killed Wall as a part of the sexual fantasy and then mutilated her body,” believe prosecutors.

The cause of Wall’s death hasn’t yet been established. Maden has been denying manslaughter and his detention lapses on October 31 then a court will decide whether he will remain in custody or no. The 46-year-old is also held on the charges of indecent handling of a corpse.

The submarine sailed on Danish water on August 10-11, said cops. They also said that they found a video of a woman being tortured, decapitated and murdered on Madsen’s personal computer.
