Al Jazeera anchor Mehdi Hasan trolled by Modi ‘bhakts’ on Twitter after grilling Ram Madhav
Medhi Hasan's questions to Ram Madhav ranged from Dadri lynching, 2002 Godhra Riots, to instant reactions by Sadhvi Prachi on intolerance issue raised by Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan on intolerance. All these questions received applause from the audiences, but Madhav had no exact explanation that could give a befitting reply.
Filled with powerpacked interview and not giving any invalid chance to the former Bhartiya Janta Party General Secretary Ram Madhav, Al Jazeera news presenter Mehdi Hasan had a tough day after the broadcast. The twitter was trolling with online abuses and a befitting replies from the BJP ‘Bhakts’, who not only questioned Hasan’s authority but also made very clear that they are not going to accept anything against their favourite leader Narendra Modi.
Hasan’s questions to Madhav ranged from Dadri lynching, 2002 Godhra Riots, Narendra Modi’s visa cancelled by US, comments made by Union Minister General V K Singh (Retd.) on killing of Dalit child to instant reactions by Sadhvi Prachi on intolerance issue raised by Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan and a host of issues where the minorities feel insecure. All these questions received applause from the audiences, but Madhav had no exact explanation that could give a befitting reply. He continued with his learned words that the party has been repeating since some time. (ALSO READ: Ram Madhav hits out at Al Jazeera anchor to worry about ISIS, update old data)
What next! Soon after the interview was over and it was on the social networking site, Mehdi Hasan had to face a lot of problems as ‘Modi Bhakts’ and the supporters took on him with allegations and what not. Reacting to the tweets, Hasan wrote that this has been his best in last 30 episodes. He wrote that may be Donald Trump supporters should learn from the Indians and run a campaign. He wrote, “I’ve done 30 odd @AJHeadtoHead interviews with guests from around the world over past 3 years. But never had a Twitter response like this. Over the past 48 hours, Hindu nationalist trolls have tried to smear me as a closet Islamist, a Pakistani and an ISIS supporter. Sheesh. I guess the interview must really have hurt. Why focus on what their guy said when they can just attack the host, right? Classic evasion. The past 48 hours of abuse have taught me that EDL’s, Likud’s & Trump’s supporters have got a lot to learn from the ‘Hindutva’ crowd online.”

I see RSS and BJP spokesmen are now trying to disown/distance from Ram Madhav’s comments on @AJHeadtoHead. But forget that: attack the host!
