Washington, Jan 13: Donald Trump‘s long-term attorney Michael Cohen allegedly paid a six-figure amount to a porn star to remain silent on a sexual encounter with the United President in 2016. A report in a news paper claimed that porn star Stephanie Clifford — whose stage name is “Stormy Daniels” was paid $ 130,000 through Trump’s attorney to be silent on an alleged sexual encounter ahead of presidential elections in 2016.

A report of Wall Street Journal claimed that the encounter took place in July 2006 after a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. However, Cohen, terming the report false, said the president has “vehemently” denied any encounter. Cohen added the rumors have been doing rounds since 2011.

Denying the report, Clifford said no such encounter took place. She emphasised President Trump remained a professional and gracious man during some of her public appearances. She said her involvement with Donald Trump was limited to a few public appearances and nothing more.

“When I met Donald Trump, he was gracious, professional and a complete gentleman to me and EVERYONE in my presence. Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false. If indeed I did have a relationship with Donald Trump, trust me, you wouldn’t be reading about in the news, you would be reading about it in my book. But the fact of the matter is, these stories are not true,” CNN quoted Clifford as saying

Trump, in a tape, during the presidential campaign was found to have said that woman allow men to sexually harass them if they are popular and powerful. After admitting that person in the tape was him, Trump tried to discard it as “locker room banter”
