New Delhi, Feb 14: At least three people suffered bullet wounds after a man opened fire near the National Security Agency (NSA) headquarter in Maryland, United States on Wednesday.

According to reports, one person has been detained in connection with the firing near the top US spy agency’s headquarters.

The CNN showed aerial footage of a black SUV which appeared to have crashed in the concrete barriers put up outside the NSA building.

“The President has been briefed on the shooting at Ft. Meade. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has been affected. We will continue to provide updates as they become available,” CNN quoted White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters saying in a statement.

The situation is now under control, the NSA said.
