1/8 Image credit: Twitter Autos crawling through flooded roads of Mumbai Like every year, Mumbaikars are again subjected to the water logged roads and drenched surroundings by the nature, thanks to Monsoon. Rainfall has always been a bane for the local citizens in Mumbai which ultimately brings the city to a standstill with its intensity and poor drainage system there. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning saying that residents should expect heavy rainfall over the next three days, Mumbaikars are threatened with the causes and have also been advised to stay indoors.
2/8 Image credit: Twitter Vehicles struggling to move through flooded Mumbai roads Transport has been affected by the heavy rains as flights are experiencing a 20 minute delay on average. The suburban railway is experiencing heavy delays with many trains being cancelled or delayed for long periods. The stations too have been affected as water-logging has been reported at Sion, Mahim and Bandra stations.
3/8 Image credit: Twitter Thigh high water logged on streets of Mumbai Incessant rains in the city have caused severe waterlogging in low-lying areas and has resulted in traffic snarls. Local trains plying on Western Railways have also been cancelled due to the rains.

Multiple flights are also being delayed by several minutes, due to the rains.

There is also a low-pressure area over south east of Odisha and neighbourhood. Both these systems are acting together indicating that a lot of rainfall activity. Further enhancement in the rain activity is expected for the next 48-72 hours," said K.S. Hosalikar, deputy director-general (western region), IMD.
