After leaving all impressed with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s look from 2.0, yet another poster revealing Amy Jackson’s look was released this week on Wednesday. Director Shankar took to Twitter to not just share the poster but also reveal that the team has started shooting for a song.
Next, we can expect the teaser to be out in November, followed by the full fledged trailer on Thalaiva’s birthday on December 12. But before we get to see the trailer and get awed by the performances and technology, here’s a first review of all that Robot 2.0 has in store.
An industry insider, who has already seen the trailer and a few rushes of the film, revealed the details to India.com and that has made our wait for 2.0 all the more difficult. Here’s a little of what’s in store for us.
“While there is a lot for Rajinikanth fans, be ready to get blown by Akshay Kumar. The villain is meaner and stronger than ever. Akki is all set to strike gold with not just his look, but also his award-winning performance. The actor, who is making a debut in South Indian film industry, is sure to gain a huge fan following post 2.0. With his anti-hero, super villain take, Akshay is not just reinventing himself but also redefining the villain in Indian cinema. Expect him to present several shades of grey in just one character.”
“Haven’t seen Enthiran/Robot (2010)? Watched the sequel and weren’t impressed by the story? 2.0 has something for everyone in the audience. The makers are bringing out a fresh story that will appeal to the old audience as well to the new ones. The new concept is not only fresh but also has an underlying message which will take audience by surprise.”
“If you have seen the making videos of 2.0, you already must have got a sense of what the film has to offer. But wait till you watch the trailer and the film, to actually live the experience of all that went into making 2.0 a technically superior film, better than anything we have seen so far in Indian cinema.”
Woah! Are you impressed already? Now all that detail shows definite promise of 2.0 being one helluva experience! The film releases on 25 January 2018.
