There are no two ways about the fact that the year 2017 has been quite disappointing in Bollywood. Some of the biggest films, with some of the biggest stars, either met lower than expected box office numbers or unfavourable reviews from fans and critics. In such a scenario, all our hopes were pinned on December 2017 releases Padmavati and Tiger Zinda Hai. Thanks to all the controversies, the Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh starrer has now been indefinitely postponed.

And now, all eyes are on Salman KhanKatrina Kaif starrer Christmas 2017 extravaganza. Hopes and expectations are high that the two ex-lovers, who share an amazing onscreen chemistry and did wonders last time they came together in Ek Tha Tiger (2012), will end the year with a bang. The posters, trailer and two songs that have released so far show promise. Salman Khan, who delivered a dud Tubelight earlier this year, seems all set to welcome the year 2018 with some Swag. If you aren’t convinced, here, take a look at five signs that prove that Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai is nothing like what he has ever done before. Romance like never before…

Yes, we have seen him play a romantic hero earlier as well. But its been time since we saw that side of him. Especially after he started playing the gun wielding Dabangg man in most of his film. As Tiger, while he plays a man on a mission, he also has a lover streak in him, which he will unleash upon us when the film hits screens. In Dil Diyan Gallan, he has shown us glimpses of what’s in store and we hear, that is just a small part of the romance between the Tiger and his Tigress.

Dance, rather swag…

So, in all his recent films, Salman has not just been dancing but has also given us a signature step. However, what he is up to in Swag Se Swagat, is a class act. He is not only grooving to the awesome music, but his dancing skills complemented with that unmatched swag is all that a Salman Khan fan can ask for.

Lights, camera, action…

There’s a difference when you play an action hero and when you play an action hero who is also a spy. In Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman comes on the big screen after training under the best in the business. He has not only worked on his body but also his action technique, which makes his Tiger act enter a different league. Something even better than what we have seen in the film’s 2012 prequel.

Where the story is the hero, too…

Perhaps, the first time when Salman comes with a story that is based on a real life incident. For the uninitiated, Tiger Zinda Hai story takes inspiration from the 2014 rescue operation where 46 Indian nurses, abducted by ISIS, were brought back home safely.

Playing his cards right…

While he is playing a romantic guy, who is also a daredevil spy, on a mission that can prove to be his last, make no mistake to expect Salman in a role of a young guy in his 20s. This time around, he is this middle-aged man and while he looks dashing in the film, there has been no attempt to make him look youthful. He is in fact looking mature and that’s the beauty of this project. Perhaps, the Khan has taken some serious learning from Tubelight, where most critics pointed out how his beefy body didn’t match his character Laxman, who was slow at grasping things and reacting to situations around him. The most important part of doing the part well is to look the part and Salman’s look as Tiger in Tiger Zinda Hai means some serious business!

Also, the fact that the director, Ali Abbas Zafar, who directed him in Sultan (2016), knows how to get the best out of him, will only make to give Tiger an edge. We surely have a winner here.
