Prernaa Arora’s KriArj Entertainment has been in the news for quite some time now. After Shahid Kapoor-starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Sara Ali Khan’s Bollywood debut Kedarnath and John Abraham’s Parmanu: The Story of Pokharan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s upcoming film Fanne Khan, which is one of the most awaited movies this year, seems to be in trouble. Yes, you read that right. The shooting of Fanne Khan, which also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, has been reportedly stalled, according to a report in Mid-Day.
This is KriArj Entertainment’s fourth film to be stalled mid-shoot due to alleged non-payment of dues. Reportedly, the film’s shooting was stalled by the crew members; they have given the makers an ultimatum to clear the dues by April 15. A Mid Day report quoted an unnamed crew member from the film as saying, “The freelancers associated with the project have a contract with KriArj Entertainment. We were told that the payments would come in by early March, but haven’t received a penny. So, we’ve decided not to start work on the next schedule till we get paid. We have given an ultimatum to the producers to clear the dues by April 15. the makers have been given “an ultimatum to clear the dues by April 15.”
On the other hand, the co-producers of the film, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures (ROMP), have claimed that the shoot was stalled because of unavailability of choreographers. In a statement to the tabloid, Rajiv Tandon of ROMP, said, “I am personally looking into payments and there isn’t any delay from our end.” He also said that the filming was delayed because the desired choreographers were unavailable for the shoot. Mr Tandon also confirmed that Fanne Khan’s release has been postponed to July 13 to avoid clash with other bigger films.” ALSO READ:
