After Drashti Dhami’s unceremonious exit from the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, we hear now even Ranvir Shorey is on his way out from the dancing extravaganza. The duo received flak for their hosting skills-or the lack of it-from all quarters. This news has reiterated the fact that as opposed to acting for the camera, presenting or hosting requires one to be very spontaneous and thoroughly entertaining. Some of the biggest names from showbiz have let audiences down with their not-so-brilliant anchoring skills. Take a look!

Shekhar Suman: The otherwise sharp-with-his words Shekhar Suman looked tongue-tied when he tried his hand at cricket commentary for ESPN and Star Sports few years back. Suman might have been known for his smart talk and witty rhetoric, thanks to shows like Movers and Shekhar and Pol-Khol, but he simply let us down as a cricket commentator!

Mandira Bedi: Her low cut-blouses fetched more eyeballs than her knowledge about the game of cricket (when the babe arrived on the scene as a cricketing host back in 2003). Mandy has certainly evolved into a sensible presenter over time, but she never got us hooked with her anchoring skills.

Abhishek Bachchan: Junior Bachchan made a brave attempt to host National Bingo Night, a long-forgotten reality show, based on the American game show with the same name. But mature aunties showing off their bingo wings while rooting for contestants made for more entertaining sight than AB’s baby taking center stage to blabber away the whole episode.

Anupam Kher: We respect Anupam Kher for his exceptional acting skills. He is a thinking actor in the truest sense of the word. But his rather impish attempt to entice viewers with Rs 10 crore to give the crorepati host Amitabh Bachchan a run for his money failed him spectacularly.

Shahrukh Khan: He is known for setting any platform on fire with his witticism and amazing charm. But SRK drew big yawns from us as the over-enthusiastic host of Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hai and Zor Ka Jhatka-the wipeout!
