Salman Khan does not only rule the Bollywood but also television. Yes, Salman Khan’s recently premiered show Bigg Boss 11 has left other shows behind in the race. Bigg Boss 11 started with a bang and the show got Colors a rating of 2.9 for the inaugural episode. Bigg Boss 11 came earlier this year than it usually does. This, in turn, is great for Colors since Rohit Shetty‘s Khatron Ke Khiladi too did well on the TRP charts.
Bigg Boss is doing well on the TRP charts shouldn’t come as a surprise as the show’s content is quite interesting as the audience gets to watch and discover their favourite celebrities’ different side inside the Bigg Boss house. Also, the inaugural episode of Bigg Boss 11 was high on curiosity as the ardent fans of Salman and BB11 weren’t sure about the contestants till the day the show actually premiered. Also, when they revealed the big names like Hina Khan, Shilpa Shinde, and Splitsvilla 10 winner Priyank Sharma, the show grabbed eyeballs.
Biss Boss 11 has beaten Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs and Star Plus’ Dance Champions (two of the shows that have been doing well on the TRP charts). While the inaugural episode scored 2.9 on the TRP charts, the weekday for Bigg Boss 11 is significantly lesser clocking, which is around 1.6 to 1.9. As per an insider, the average stands at 1.6.
Salman’s presence on the show certainly clocks in good numbers. The inaugural episode has beaten Akshay Kumar’s The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Shilpa Shetty’s Super Dancer by a huge margin. Also, thanks to Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta‘s arguments the show has piqued the interest of the viewers. The heat is definitely rising inside the Bigg Boss 11 house; quite too much has been happening inside the house ever since its first episode. The 10.30-11.30 slot during weekdays and 9.00-10.30 slot for Salman’s Weekend Ka Vaar are really doing well for the show and of course, the dirty fights inside the house too set the tone for the season like never before.
