Here are some celebrities that have ruled our hearts on the silver screen but have also been accused of breaking the law.
Salman Khan- He is one of the biggest superstars of Bollywood and his fans adoringly refer to him as bhai or brother. Despite having a fanbase that adores him he has got into a lot of trouble with the law. The latest conviction comes in against him for a twenty-year-old black-buck poaching case while he was shooting for the multi-starring movie Hum Saath Saath Hain. His co-actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam were also accused in the case.
Sanjay Dutt- He is one of the most adored actors of Bollywood and was convicted following the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai. He was convicted under the TADA act for illegal possession of firearms. He served out his 5-year sentence in Yerwada Jail Pune.
Saif Ali Khan- The Nawab of Bollywood allegedly got into a brawl where he punched a South African businessman while spending time with family and friends including Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, Bilal Amrohi and Shakeel Ladak at the Wasabi restaurant in Taj, Colaba. He was booked under the section 325 IPC for allegedly assaulting the businessman. He was arrested and later released on bail.
Sooraj Pancholi- This new entrant in Bollywood was dating Jiah Khan and was accused of abetting her suicide. This new piece of information shocked the nation as he was arrested and later released on bail. The case is still pending its outcome.
Shiney Ahuja- The dimpled Gangster celebrity was accused of allegedly raping his maid. This information sent the whole nation into a tizzy as he was one of the most promising actors at the time. Even though the maid went back on her charges, the court sentenced him to a 7-year jail term.
John Abraham- The bike enthusiast and had an accident with a bicycle which resulted in injuring two people.
