Bumper Box Office: Salman Khan's Sultan crosses Rs 500 crore in worldwide collections!

Just as we were telling you about the domestic box office collections of Sultan that had crossed Rs 260 crore, comes the news from producers Yash Raj Films that the blockbuster Salman Khan film has now made over Rs 500 crore at the worldwide box office! Yes, that’s true. Although detailed box office figures are not yet available, it’s for sure that Sultan is now equal to Dhoom:3, YRF’s Aamir Khan starrer that had made Rs 500 crore worldwide. Sultan has made USD 75 million in 12 days at the box office! (ALSO READ: Sultan box office: Salman Khan’s blockbuster collects Rs 260 crore in India; to beat Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3)

Salman Khan‘s Sultan released ahead of Eid 2016 that is July 6, and after almost two weeks in theatres, the film collected Rs 260 crore in India. So we guess the remaining Rs 240 crore was earned from the overseas market!

Sultan box office smasher Rs 260 crore

Sultan has been breaking records right from the beginning. In seven days of its release, the movie collected Rs 200 crore in India and its worldwide gross box office total was Rs 345 crore. The YRF film is all set to create history by becoming the third largest, or eventually even the second largest, worldwide Bollywood superhit.

Sultan will surely Aamir Khan’s Dhoom:3 and then eventually the same actor’s film PK that is currently numero uno worldwide as far as Bollywood is concerned. To conquer the domestic box office number one slot, Salman will have to first beat his own blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan followed by Aamir’s PK.
