Can Riteish Deshmukh be a better Bank-Chor than Kapil Sharma?

It came as a shocker, when YRF announced the delisting of Kapil Sharma from his debut movie Bank Chor. Speculations were rife that Krushna Abhishek or Sunil Grover will bag the role in the movie, after Kapil’s unceremonious departure. But surprisingly our favourite villain Riteish Deshmukh has been roped in to play the lead. Riteish has proved his mettle in various comedy films before. But Riteish ever come close to Kapil’s spot on comic timing, we wonder!

The makers have played a smart move here by roping in Riteish for the comic caper. He is on the success spree after enjoying nine back-to-back hit movies. When we discuss comedy genre, Deshmukh gets a deservable mention. He has always impressed with his comic timing. He has three 100 crore movies in his kitty- Housefull 2, Grand Masti, and now Ek Villain.

On the other side, the former-lead Kapil Sharma has amassed incredible fan-following thanks to his super-hit comedy show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’.

Riteish will have to pull up his socks and perform a miracle of sorts to justify the fact that he’s Kapil’s replacement.

Bank-Chor’ is a comic-caper that tells the story of 3 morons trying to rob a bank who pick the worst day possible when everything that can go wrong, goes wrong and how they’re inadvertently caught in the crossfire of cops, industrialists and corrupt netas. ‘Bank-Chor’ is directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil. It will go on floors immediately and is slated for early 2015 release.
