Kareena Kapoor has been the headlines every since her post delivery; she has been giving fitness goals to new mommies. Kareena’s journey of losing weight pre and post delivery has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. The actress has shared her experience of pregnancy, post delivery and motherhood with us in one of her recent interviews. Recently, she had also gone live on Facebook with her nutritionist Rutuja Diwekar for her (Rutuja’s) book launch, where she gave the mommies of infants some tips on losing weight.
She had also mentioned how a comment of a random person on her picture that was uploaded on a social networking site had affected her. But at the same time, the person who made snide remarks of her being fat motivated her to lose weight. She expressed her disappointment on how people these days are too insensitive. Kareena also said that losing weight is good but only with the right diet and right amount of workout.
While in a conversation with a leading portal, Kareena shared her experience about the journey of losing weight, she said, “Like I said, the idea has always been to be healthy. Not like crash dieting. Comments don’t matter. Idea is to be fit both mentally and physically. It is my time, it is more like a me-time. It makes me happy. She goes on to elaborate, “Slowly and steadily I am trying to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. But it hasn’t been a sudden weight loss. It has been a slow process. Who knows by Taimur’s first birthday, I might be size zero?!”
The actress makes the people feel relatable while speaking of her pre and post pregnancy journey. She added, “The idea is to make people know that I am as normal as them and I face the same issues. People assume that I am an actor so I don’t go through these things. But that is not true. Through all the FB chats and FB lives, our motto is to let them know that I am as normal as others.
Ever since she has embraced motherhood, it had been an amazing feeling for Kareena. She loves being a mom. While she explains how fun it was during pregnancy, she also thanks her family and friends for being there at all times. “It has been amazing. I have had lots of fun. Most important is, my friends, family, Rujuta – have been a huge support. They have been with me throughout. It has been the most entertaining pregnancy and a well-documented one. My sister Karisma and friend Amrita Arora have been such a backbone. This would not have been possible without them – all the lunches, dinner, the fun, and positivity! Thanks to me, even Amu is also heading to the gym. I am motivating her and she is motivating me. And together, we are motivating the world.”
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will soon begin shooting for her upcoming flick Veere Di Wedding from September 2017. The movie also features Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in pivotal roles and is helmed by Shashanka Ghosh.
