Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer Baaghi 2 is releasing on March 30. Both the actors are gearing up for the release of their much anticipated action thriller this weekend. Disha, who was last seen in Kung Fu Yoga with Jackie Chan, has replaced Shraddha Kapoor in the second installment of the Baaghi franchise and fans are excited to see the rumoured couple to share screen space for the first time. Disha may be a social media phenomenon, with a massive fan following but when it comes to films, she is extremely choosy.
In an interview with indianexpress.com, Disha said that the reason behind being so picky as far as her films are concerned is because she cannot commit to something she is not fully sure about. “I’m a Gemini and a Piscean. I can’t do anything I don’t like. It’s very hard for me to get convinced by something. So I always look for something I would love to do because I have to spend a year promoting, shooting. We don’t get to eat. We don’t get to sleep. So you really need to love your job. So just to find that correct script and right thing, it takes time for me,” she said.
The film is just two days away from its release, but it has already started to set cash registers ringing. Just after the advance bookings for the film opened, it started receiving an overwhelming response from the audience and theatres in India. Its prequel was an enormous success and looks like Baaghi 2 is also all set to follow suit. However, one of the major reasons behind the film garnering so much attention is its lead cast who are rumoured to be dating. When indianexpress.com asked Disha about it, she said that they are close friends in real life and nothing more than that. When asked if such rumours affected her during the film’s shoot, she said, “I don’t think it matters at all. When you are on set, you are just there focussed and thinking about your role and character. I don’t think such things matter at all.”
Helmed by choreographer-turned-director, Ahmed Khan, and bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala, Baaghi 2 also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Prateik Babbar, Randeep Hooda and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles. The film courted controversy after the reprised version of Madhuri Dixit’s Ek Do Teen featuring Jacqueline Fernandez released. Fans were left disappointed seeing the new version.
