In yet another amazing collaboration between the Hindi and the Telugu film industries, (the recent one to make headlines being Prabhas – Shraddha Kapoor’s Saaho), Farhan Akhtar was roped in to sing a song for Mahesh Babu’s film. Titled, ‘I Don’t Know’, the song is part of Mahesh Babu’s upcoming political thriller – Bharat Ane Nenu. After taking fans’ curiosity to its peak, the makers released the song on Sunday. And the reviews are now out.
Fans are raving about the track and have only good things to say about Farhan. It is the first time that the actor tried to so something in Telugu language and yet fans feel he has done a great job at getting the pronunciation right. Thrilled by the feedback, Farhan took to social media to thank fans for all the love and appreciation for his efforts. “Thank you for the love you’re showing our song ‘I Don’t Know’. Thrilled to read that my Telugu delivery feels natural to all who speak it fluently,” wrote the singer-actor-filmmaker.
The political thriller is directed by Koratala Siva and also stars Kiara Advani. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Farhan and Mahesh Babu have collaborated. Earlier, Mahesh Babu had rendered his voice for a Telugu version Farhan’s MARD initiative, which works in the domain of raising social awareness about rape, discrimination and violence against women.
Talking about Bollywood, Farhan is said to be working on a script, which will mark his return as a filmmaker. There were recently reports that the script of Don 3 is ready and it will be directed by Farhan and he will also play a cop in the film, chasing Shah Rukh Khanm. But the filmmaker refuted it all as mere rumours.
