Fatal accident on the set of Rajinikanth film Kaala
A technician, named Michael, working on the sets of the film at EVO studios in Poonamalle near Chennai, got electrocuted
South superstar Rajinikanth is currently gearing up for his forthcoming movie, Kaala, directed by Pa Ranjith. This is going to be the actor’s second venture with the celebrated director following the 2016 release, Kabali, that featured him opposite Radhika Apte. Recently, owing to an unfortunate incident that struck the shooting unit, one of the technicians working on the movie passed away.
A leading daily reported earlier today, that a technician, named Michael,who was working on the sets of the film at EVO studios in Poonamalle near Chennai, when he mistakenly stepped on a live wire and got electrocuted. Though he was promptly rushed to the hospital he succumbed to the injuries and died in the hospital. Emerging reports indicate that investigations are underway. Reportedly a case is yet to be filed regarding the incident. The makers of the movies are expected to divulge further details about the incident. Based against the backdrop of Mumbai mafia, Kaala will have Rajinikanth essay the role of a don. The film will also star, Bollywood actors like Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi and Pankaj Tripathi, and Marathi actress Anjali Patil in lad roles. Eminent South-Indian actress, Eshwari Rao, will be seen as the superstar’s wife.
The movie is produced by Rajinikanth’s son-in-law, Dhanush under his production house Wunderbar Films. The music for Kaala is being composed by Santosh Narayanan who did the same for Kabali, as well.
