Ram Gopal Verma failed to make an impression in the world of films over the last few years but that didn’t deter him from trending on the internet. The filmmaker has been in news recently for his appalling statements on Twitter. Right from trolling the newcomers such as Tiger Shroff, to rebuking the likes of Sridevi, not to forget taking a dig at Karan Johar, the director did it all. But even that didn’t last for long as he quit the microblogging site end of last month, without stating the reason.

After completing eight years on Twitter, Ram Gopal Verma told his fans before quitting that, ““My pleasantly unpleasant surprise is I am getting out of Twitter…To all my followers, no thanks for following me all these years,” he wrote after completing eight years on Twitter.” He also announced that hereon he would now be available on Instagram. His last tweet read, “This my last tweet before my tweet death..but I will not RIP and seriously work from now on @RGVzoomin Birth:27/5/2009 Death:27/5/2017 (sic)”. When asked about his reason to quit Twitter, DNA quoted the director as saying that he left the micro blogging site because he felt it had become very predictable, with the way he said things and the resultant reaction of the people. “I enjoy that I can provoke or irritate somebody enough to react so strongly with whatever I have said or done.  If I would have said that there’s no difference between an engineer, doctor, pornstar and a housewife’, everyone would have collapsed on me . However, the same content in a video called Meri Beti Sunny Leone Banna Chaahti Hai, (MBSLBCH) obviously would be taken in a very different way,” he said.

Meanwhile, the director is working on a web series titled Guns and Thighs and a short film MBSLBCH for his YouTube channel.
