It’s another year and yet another season of the Indian Premiere League, which will keep fans hooked for the following two months. This is the eleventh edition of the cash-rich cricket tournament, the opening ceremony of which is all set to take place tomorrow ie April 7 at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. The schedule, however, has undergone a number of alterations. Fans were waiting with bated breath to see Ranveer Singh perform at the opening ceremony, but much to their dismay, the actor had to back out owing to a shoulder injury that deemed him unfit to perform. Parineeti Chopra, too followed suit, citing Namaste England‘s busy schedule as the reason for the last minute cancellation.

While the actress won’t be performing tomorrow, latest reports indicate that Tamannaah Bhatia will be shaking a leg tomorrow that too with the impeccable dancer, Prabhudeva. The duo has been reportedly rehearsing for the dance performance since the last few days.  Speaking about her performance, Tamannaah, who has not only worked in the Hindi film industry but is also quite a big star down South, said, “IPL is one of the most premium properties of the country and after Bollywood its cricket that takes a forefront in India. This is the first time I will be performing at a sporting event so I’m quite excited. I will be performing on Sampige, Kara Attakara, Swing Zara and Pinga. It’s a matter of great credit that I will be representing not one but four film industries on a single platform.”

The dances for the evening has been choreographed by Shiamak Davar. Apart from Tamannaah, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Hrithik Roshan will also be performing. Two time champions, Chennai Super Kings and defending IPL champion, Mumbai Indians — the most successful teams of the IPL will begin the 11th edition of the league tomorrow.
