Is Abhay Deol bankrupt due to T-Series music rights and his flop movie One By Two?

Actor Abhay Deol is in big financial trouble, according to newspaper reports. The actor of offbeat films like Dev.D and Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local tried to make another seemingly offbeat film with One By Two.

This time, his hatke formula didn’t work and the movie, starring his real-life girlfriend Preeti Desai, disappeared from the box office. To make matters worse, during the time Abhay had decided to take a stand against music companies for music rights. He fought a vain battle with T-Series, the biggest music label in India.

But now it seems the actor, who bravely wore a fake bruise on his eye after the T-Series tussle, has suffered some real bruises and cuts as far as his financial life is concerned.

Abhay had apparently mortgaged his small apartment in Juhu, Mumbai, while he was producing One By Two. Not being able to repay the loan, his property might be attached by the bank, say reports.

We hope Abhay is able to sort out his troubles soon. Maybe he should go with a brilliant story idea to filmmaker Anurag Kashyapor the like, just like he apparently did for remaking the classic Devdas into a modern version called Dev.D.

Or maybe Abhay should loosen up a bit and join the Yamla Pagla Deewana franchise of the original Deols of Bollywood – his uncle Dharmendra and cousins Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. What say?
