The makers of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Gully Boy’ have finally wrapped up its shoot. On Sunday night, actress Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram Stories to share that she would miss the film’s set. The actress wrote, “And it’s a film wrap for ‘Gully Boy’! Going to miss this set too much. The best best crew and all the best people! Love you all… Miss you already Zozo (Akhtar) and Tutu (Ranveer Singh)! Big Hug! See you guys very soon.” The actress shared another photograph of herself, where she is seen sporting a black t-shirt, which has ‘Gully Boy’ written on it. Alia captioned the picture as,”Gully Boy film wrap.”
Previously, in an interview with IANS, Ranveer Singh described Gully Boy as a ‘great underdog story.’ The actor told the news agency, “This is a story that means a lot to me. To tell a story of the youth from the streets of Mumbai, who live a very tough existence and have a lot of battle to fight and they in the battle of life they come out and triumph. They find their inspiration through music and art. The music that is socially relevant. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar and bankrolled by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, the film is an upcoming musical drama, where will be seen portraying the role of the Mumbai street rapper and the actor has been prepping hard to step into his character. On the professional front, Alia is busy shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi along with Vicky Kaushal, which is slated to hit the silver screen on May 11 this year, while Ranveer has Kabir Khan’s 83 (Kapil Dev biopic) and Rohit Shetty’s Simmba lined up.
