62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017: Sonakshi Sinha all set to out perform Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif - Watch videos

There are very few award nights where Sonakshi Sinha hasn’t performed. And why not? She is after all one of the best performers in the current lot of actors. From her screen presence to her confidence on stage while performing live, Sonakshi Sinha has time and again impressed us with her power packed performances. It comes as no surprise then that she is one of the stars to perform live at the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017. The actress will join the likes of Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, Alia Bhatt, Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez to enthrall the audience with her moves.

The actress gave us a sneak peek into her performance at the awards night tonight and we just cannot wait to see her take on the stage! Sonakshi Sinha who was seen in films like Force 2 and Akira in 2016, will make a grand entry on the stage and take us back to the year gone by. The actress, who will next be seen playing a journalist in Noor, will be paying a tribute to some of the most popular Bollywood dance numbers of 2016.

Talking about her act, an excited Sonakshi Sinha said, “I am extremely excited to be part of the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017! The concept is super cool. I will be performing on all the hit songs of every month of the year gone by. It is going to be an interesting night!” (ALSO READ: Jio Filmfare Awards 2017: Tiger Shroff prepares for a special tribute to Michael Jackson, Prabhu Deva and Hrithik Roshan – watch videos)

Some of the songs she will be grooving to the reprised version of the song Kaante Nahi Kat Te of the yesteryear film Mr India. The new version of the song was a part of her film Force 2 that also starred John Abraham. Since she is dancing on all the hit songs from every month, we are expecting to see her groove to the song Dil Cheez Tujhe De Di from Airlift, High Heels from Ki & Ka, Baby ko Bass pasand hai from Sultan amongst others. Apart from these, the song line-up involves the Break Up song from the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that was filmed on Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor and Kala Chasma from Baar Baar Dekho that starred Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra. Now, it will be interesting to see Sonakshi’s version of these two hit numbers. By the looks of the clips from Sonakshi’s rehearsals, we are highly impressed with the steps and her energy for these numbers. Will she be able to outdo Anushka and Katrina’s performances? We will have to wait for the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards night to unfurl to see that!
