There has been a lot of buzz and anticipation around the launch of star kids – Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter and Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor. For the longest time, there were rumours that the two will be launched in the Hindi remake of Marathi film Sairat. But nothing was being announced. We were left clueless about the film, its Bollywood name, the stars et al. However, to put an end to all the speculations around the Bollywood debuts of these two young, budding actors, Karan Johar put out a formal announcement just a few seconds back to formally launch Ishaan and Jhanvi to Dharma Productions and launch them in Bollywood.

Earlier today, the filmmaker got us all excited and looking forward to 5 pm when he put out a video announcing about launching two new faces. He gave us ample of hints to know what was in store for us. The Hindi remake of Sairat is named Dhadak and the film is all set to go on floors in just a few days.

But that wasn’t all. Karan posted yet another poster, this time with the release date on it. The film is all set to release on July 6, 2018 and it means we may see Jhanvi’s debut before Sara Ali Khan makes her debut with Kedarnath in December 2018.

The lead stars Jhanvi and Ishaan have already left for Jaipur, where the first schedule of the film will roll. The film will be directed by Shashank Khaitan of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame.

Interestingly, both his two films starred Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt – who were Dharma Production finds. Over the years, we have grown to love these two actors. Let’s wait and watch if Dharma’s new finds, newbies Ishaan Khattar and Jhanvi Kapoor are able to win our hearts as well.
