Salman Khan is currently busy shooting for Race 3 and we hear that the film will be wrapped up by the end of this month. Soon after, the actor will get on the sets of Director Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. The director and producer Atul Agnihotri spent the past couple of months scouring for locations for the film’s shoot and the pre-production is in full swing. Talking about the same, the director tweeted on Sunday, “We are in full flow with pre-production of ‘Bharat’ the film. Lots of exciting news will come your way soon.” And the exciting news is not about when the film will go on floors. But something more interesting.
Yes, while the film is set to go on floors by May-June, the exciting news that the director hinted at has to do with the leading lady of the film. Our source tells us, “The makers have been in talks with two top leading actresses and discussions have been on. The final call will be taken by the end of this week and the name of the final cast will be announced early next month.” Isn’t that amazing? If you may recall Katrina Kaif, who is one of Ali Abbas’ favourites and Priyanka Chopra, who is planning to make a comeback in Bollywood soon, are the two names that have been doing the rounds. There is also buzz that both the actress will be part of the film and both will have distinct and important roles. Will it be one amongst these two ladies or both together or someone else? We can’t wait to know.
The film is already slated for an Eid 2019 release date and is said to be an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film Ode to My Father, which chronicles the history of Korea from 1950s onwards. The director has also revealed in an earlier interview that it was Salman’s idea to adapt the film into the Indian scenario. We hear the film wil be extensively shot in London, Abu Dhabi, Spain and in Punjab. Bharat will mark Salman and Ali’s third collaboration after the very successful Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).
