Kick box office report: Salman Khan's film collects Rs 203.19 crore; breaks the record of 3 Idiots

Salman Khan’s movie Kick has more milestones to meet after grossing Rs 200 crore at the Indian box office. The film has now beaten one of the all-time Bollywood blockbuster  films – Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots that made Rs 202 crore plus in India. Kick‘s latest box office collections stand at Rs 203.19 crore, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who said, “#Kick [Week 2] Fri 9.22 cr, Sat 10.62 cr, Sun 14.18 cr, Mon 5.08 cr. Total: ₹ 203.19 cr nett. Salman’s HIGHEST GROSSER in India.”

He added, “#Kick crosses #3Idiots in domestic market. More records to shatter in days to come…”

Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez’s film Kick reached the Rs 200 crore figure at the box office on Monday, August 4. Kick has not only beaten Salman’s friend Aamir Khan’s film 3 Idiots at the Indian box office, but also his own Ek Tha Tiger that made Rs 198 crore at the box office.

Kick also broke the bones of Salman’s rival Ranbir Kapoor‘s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani that grossed Rs 188 crore plus.

Incidentally, Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots had made almost Rs 400 crore plus including overseas figures, while his 2013 release Dhoom 3 collected Rs 500 crore worldwide, according to trade reports. And Shah Rukh Khan‘s Chennai Express reportedly made Rs 212 crore at the BO in India and almost Rs 400 crore overall.

It remains to be seen if Salman Khan’s Kick can break those records at the box office worldwide. Keep watching this space for updates.
