One of India’s most loved playback singers of Bollywood, Mohammed Rafi aka Mohd Rafi, died on July 31, 1980. The singer had a heart attack while on stage for a concert. 35 years after his death, Mohammad Rafi continues to be one of the most cherished Indian singers and one who is emulated by generation after generation (like Sonu Nigam in recent times).
