Earlier we had reported that Ekta Kapoor‘s much-celebrated show Naagin‘s protagonist Mouni Roy, who made her debut with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and shot to fame with her character of an ichhadhaari naagin in Ekta Kapoor’s show. But the actress will not be featuring in the third installment of the franchise. Now, the latest reports suggest that another popular protagonist Adaa Khan too will not be a part of the popular show.

Yes, you heard it right. TV Czarina Ekta took to her Instagram handle to share the good news that she is back with Naagin season 3 but the show will not have Mouni or Adaa. She wrote, “A new naagin arrives! As we bid Adieu to @imouniroy and @adaakhann from NAAGIN🐉🐉🐉🐉we welcome the NEW! Will soon reveal my new ‘naagin’ or should I say ‘NAAGINS’ #waitfornaagin3”

When Ekta Kapoor‘s much-celebrated show Naagin, which made its grand premiere in November 2015 and had always topped the TRPs charts since its inception, went off-air, it did not go down well with its ardent fans. After the tremendous success of Naagin and Naagin 2, the makers have now planned to come up with the third installment of the TV franchise on its public demand. Colors’ much-awaited show Naagin 3 is slated to go on air during Diwali. Ekta Kapoor and Mouni Roy have been working together for quite a long time now. This duo has been ruling the industry ever since Naagin came out. But now due to Mouni’s other commitments, she will not be a part of Naagin 3. A source, in a statement to an online portal, had said, “Naagin 3 will have a different lead heroine this time. Mouni is busy with her two Bollywood projects — Gold and Brahmastra — and won’t be able to give dates for another season of the show.” On the professional front, the actress will next be seen in Akshay Kumar’s Gold.
