Earlier today, we had reported that Ekta Kapoor‘s much-celebrated show Naagin‘s protagonists Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan will not be featuring in the third installment of the franchise. Ekta took to Instagram to confirm the news that she is back with Naagin season 3 but the show will not have Mouni or Adaa but a new face and wrote, “A new naagin arrives! As we bid Adieu to @imouniroy and @adaakhann from NAAGIN🐉🐉🐉🐉we welcome the NEW! Will soon reveal my new ‘naagin’ or should I say ‘NAAGINS’ #waitfornaagin3” Now, the speculation runs rife as Krystle D’Souza to be roped in to play the lead in the third installment of the franchise.
We know that auditions are on for past one month for Shivani and Taksha’s roles. According to a report in Bollywood Life, Krystle, who shot to fame with her character Jeevika Chaudhary in Star Plus’ much-celebrated show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, may step into Mouni Roy’s shoes for Naagin 3, while Vindya Tiwari and Tanya Sharma are being considered for Taksha’s role. While Ekta is keen that Krystle plays Naagin on the show, the actress has already been roped in to play the lead in Colors’ show Belan Bahu and has shot the pilot too. Well, a final call is yet to be taken by Ekta and the Colors’ team whether or not Krystle will replace Mouni in Naagin 3.
On the other hand, for Adaa Khan’s role, Tanya and Vindhya’s names are doing the rounds. Both Tanya and Vindhya (who has already played a supernatural character Chandramani on Sasural Simar Ka), have auditioned for the role, but it is yet to be revealed who will step into Adaa’s shoes. Also, Ekta Kapoor wants someone like Priyank Sharma to be one of the leads on the show. ALSO READ: (Shraddha Kapoor Roped To Star Opposite Rajkummar Rao In Dinesh Vijan’s Next)
