Ever since it has been announced that Tiger Shroff will feature as the main lead in the Indian remake of Rambo, his fans are getting more and more excited with every passing day. And remember how Sylvester Stallone, who was the protagonist in the original Hollywood films sent out a tweet wishing luck to Tiger and the makers of the Indian adaptation. “I read recently they are remaking Rambo in India! Great character. Hope they don’t wreck it,” read Stallone’s tweet. In fact, Sylvester also took to Instagram and posted the first look poster of Tiger’s film, and captioned it, “I actually get excited in my heart whenever young artists get an rare opportunity to reach for the stars! Eye of the Tiger! I am sure you will put all of your heart and soul into it…Never give up young man !” To this Tiger replied, “There will always and only be ONE “eye of the tiger” for us cubs 🙌 you rule the jungle! Thank you so much sir!”
Well, now recent reports suggest that Stallone might have a cameo in the Indian version of Rambo. Yep! You read that right! However, there is no official confirmation on that whatsoever. ALSO READ: Tiger Shroff Wants To Be Bollywood’s Next Salman Khan
Tiger, who is also clueless about this hopes that the rumours are true as he was quoted by Bollywood Hungama as saying, “Why not? It’d be great. Right now I am just super-excited about stepping into Mr Stallone’s shoes. It’s a formidable place to be in. We all know what the first Rambo film meant to the series.”
If it happens, then this will be the second time, Sylvester will have a special appearance in a Bollywood film. The first one was in Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Kambakht Ishq.
At a promotional event, Tiger revealed that he will start shooting for Rambo only after Baaghi 2 and Student Of The Year 2. “There is no prep work as such for the film as I am busy with the promotions of Munna Michael. And then I have Baaghi 2 and Student Of The Year 2 to do. Rambo is still far off. The prep work will be exhausting especially (as) there are lot of expectations and it’s cult action film featuring one of the legends of Hollywood. I don’t replace him I am just giving him a tribute,” he said.
The Hindi remake of the movie was announced at the Cannes Film Festival 2017. It is to be directed by Siddharth Anand, who last directed Bang Bang that starred Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan.
