The 28-second-clip of the actress winking at her co-star, Roshan Abdul Rahoof, made her an instant hit with the audiences. From the video, one must have gathered that Oru Adaar Love, a Malayalam film, is based on high school romance. Not only that, it is perhaps one of the most anticipated films of 2018. After the actress garnered instant nationwide fame, the makers have decided to release the film in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, apart from Malayalam, a report in NewsMinute stated.

Needless to say, it’s quite a big step for a Malayalam film. According to reports, the makers believe that they’ll be able to cash in on the popularity of the actress and consequently the film this way and have thus decided to release it in multiple languages. All thanks to a wink and some old school romance, Priya rose to instant fame about two months ago. Her instant popularity made her the object of curiosity. Suddenly everyone wanted to know everything about her. She also became one of those few people whose followers on Instagram rose exponentially within a day. Today, she stands at almost 5.4 million followers on the photo and video sharing app. Furthermore,  a buzz that she is being paid not less than Rs 8 lakh per post soon started doing the rounds, piquing our interests further.

Latest updates suggest that a fresh complaint has been filed against Priya Prakash Varrier by two Hyderabad based parties stating that winking is absolutely forbidden in Islam. We are awaiting more updates on the same. This is the second complaint filed against the actress. Earlier, a few people had filed a lawsuit against Priya and the film’s director, Omar Lulu, alleging that the song, Manikya Malaraya Poovi, hurt sentiments of the Muslim community. While the Court ordered in favour of the actress and the filmmaker, looks like there’s more trouble in line for the film’s team ahead of its release. The movie is slated to hit screens on June 14 this year.
