The days of speculations are now over and the news we all had been waiting for is finally here! Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her comeback in Bollywood with Salman Khan – Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. The actress will be uniting with Salman after 10 years (after God Tussi Great Ho – 2008) and with director Ali after four years (Gunday – 2014). Talking about getting his leading lady on board, Ali said, “Bharat is Priyanka’s homecoming to Bollywood after having proved herself as a performer in a global TV show, Quantico, and in Hollywood. Bharat is rooted in India and its culture, spans over seven decades and travels across the world. Priyanka is the biggest Indian artist globally today and a perfect fit for the film as she brings to the table her incredible talent and international appeal,” he told Mumbai Mirror.

The report also suggests that Ali and producer Atul Agnihotri gave a narration to Priyanka in New York and she instantly loved it and gave a nod to be part of Bharat. The actress is also excited about coming back to Bollywood, with a team she has worked with before and learnt a lot from. In a statement to the tabloid, PeeCee said, “I’m looking forward to working with Salman and Ali after a considerable time. I’ve learnt a lot from them during our previous collaborations and I am excited to see what this one has to offer. I’m also looking forward to working with Atul, Alvira and the entire team.” The Quantico 3 actress also thanked her fans who have been waiting for her comeback and extended their love and support to her all this while, “To all my well-wishers who have been patient and supportive, thank you for your constant support and I’ll see you at the movies.”

Salman Khan who had been shooting for Race 3 up until now has started prep for Bharat. The first leg of the shoot will start in London and Priyanka who is almost done with her Quantico 3 shoot in Ireland, will join the crew soon. The film will also be shot in Spain, Poland, Portugal, and Malta. Salman Khan will be seen in five different looks in the film, spanning 60 years, and will be seen in a leaner, younger look to showcase him in his late 20s. Bharat is scheduled for an Eid 2019 release and looking at Salman – Ali Abbas Zafar’s earlier track record (Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai) – we are sure it will be a smash hit.

Interestingly, there were also reports of Katrina Kaif being a part of the project and both the leading ladies having an equally important part. However, there is no confirmation on this as yet from team Bharat. Let’s see how big and better this one gets.
