It has only been two days since popular Punjabi singer, Parmish Verma was shot by unidentified assailants in Mohali. The singer was reportedly on his way back home with a friend from Chandigarh’s Elante Mall in his Toyota Fortuner SUV late Friday night when he was attacked. The Police informed that the assailants followed the singer in a white Hyundai Creta all the way from Chandigarh. Near Sector 74 of Mohali, they stopped the car in front of his car and fired shots at him. Although Verma and his friend were injured in this attack, they managed to speed away from the spot. The police came for assistance once Verma called up a senior police official of Mohali district for help.
Soon after the attack, when the singer was recuperating at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, Wanted gangster, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, claimed responsibility of the attack in a Facebook post on Saturday. In the post, Dilpreet said that Verma was lucky to be alive and warned him that if they ever meet face to face, Parmish will have to face the consequences. The police officials are currently investigating the reasons behind the attack on the 31-year-old singer. Verma, shot to fame with the foot-tapping number, “Gaal Ni Kadni” in 2017. The hit song has garnered over 118 million views on YouTube. The singer will soon start shooting for the Punjabi remake of Ajay Devgn’s Singham, where he will portray the main character.
