Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn‘s crime-thriller, Raid, which released on March 16, 2018, continues to impress the audience, as it becomes the second fourth-highest grosser of the year after Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man. Raid has beaten the first week collections of films like Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte’s Pad Man (Rs 62.87 crore) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 45.94 crore). Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the period crime thriller, which also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla in lead roles, is slowly inching towards the coveted Rs 100 crore club; it has now earned Rs 72.31 crores.

According to Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, the film managed to earn Rs 5.71 crore on Saturday, thus, taking its total collection to Rs 72.31 crore in just nine days. Earlier today, Taran Adarsh took to his micro-blogging site to share the official collection of the film. He wrote, “#Raid is back in form on second Sat… Expected to cross ₹ 75 cr mark tonight [end of Weekend 2]… [Week 2] Fri 3.55 cr, Sat 5.71 cr. Total: ₹ 72.31 cr. Inspired by real-life I-T raids (high profile income tax raids) that were conducted by the officers of the Indian Revenue Service in the 1980s, Raid is written by Ritesh Shah and helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta. Besides Ajay Degn, the film also features Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla in lead roles. Raid is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, while the music for the film is scored by Amit Trivedi, Tanishk Bagchi.
