We had reported earlier that the Shah Rukh Khan starrer dwarf film (with Anand L Rai) and Ranveer Singh starrer Temper (with Rohit Shetty) were to clash at the Box Office in 2018. This would have been the second time that the two stars clashed at the Box Office, with their earlier films, Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale having battled it out at the BO in 2015. With Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film doing better than Rohit Shetty’s action drama movie then, all eyes were on the two films this time to see if SRK beat Ranveer this time around. However, as per reports in Pinkvilla, Ranveer and Rohit Shetty’s action -drama, Temper, which is a Hindi remake of the Telugu film by the same name, has postponed its shoot date to early next year, which has further led to its release date being pushed to December 28 from its earlier date, December 21.

Helmed by Puri Jagannadh and starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, the original Telugu film, Temper was based on the life of Daya, who a corrupt and manipulative police sub-inspector who later becomes an honest officer due to a number of events. A source told the leading entertainment portal that the Hindi version of the film will be pushed by a week as Rohit has never been someone who likes his films to clash. “While earlier it was to release on December 21, now two films are coming on that day – Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled next directed by Aanand L Rai and Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. Rohit has never been someone who likes his films to clash with others as he believes they cut into the box-office business. Also, he knows SRK well and the two had a word with each other about it. Both are big films in their own way, hence Rohit, who is co-producing the film with Reliance Entertainment, decided to postpone Temper by a week,” the source told the leading entertainment portal. Thus, the film will not have a Christmas release as stated earlier.  (ALSO READ : Chill Fans, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Notorious Surprise’ Has Nothing To Do With Padmavati)

Furthermore, there are reports that Ranveer will be turning into a co-producer for the film. He will be bankrolling the film under his mom, Anju Bhavnani’s name. The other producer will be Bandla Ganesh, who produced the original Telugu film. The source additionally told the online portal, “He has always supported young, first-time producers himself like Vikramaditya Motwane for Lootera and Zoya Akhtar for Gully Boy and may lend his name, without investing in it like Akshay Kumar and have a share in the back-end profits.”
