Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ recently went on floors and the team has already started prepping up for it. We saw how Deepika Padukone who will be donning the character of Rani Padmavati, also started prepping up for her role. Deepika has already ditched her favorite biographies to read the historical novels based upon the era and the characters of ‘Padmavati’. Similarly Ranveer Singh who will play a dark role of Alauddin Khilji has also started focusing on the work. And guess what! He just shifted in his new apartment that is a few steps away from the sets of Padamavati in Goregaon film city.

Recently the Befikre actor, while talking to Hindustan Times, said, “This is where all the real work happens. I am completely cut off [from the outside world] when I am in my den. I am so high up over here [in the building] that there’s no mobile signal at all. So, even if I want to, I can’t be on the radar.” Well, now we can really sense that he is training intensively for the role of Alauddin Khilji !

The handsome Ram Leela star is known for his carefree attitude that he carries everywhere with him. He is a charmer and he knows that. But when it comes to work, Ranveer is damn serious and leaves his carefree attitude outside the doors. Adding to this new routine that he is now following, Ranveer said, ” In fact, I have designed this place like my workshop, and this is where I do all my creative work. And it’s a process that really helps me. It works very well for me as an actor. So, you can say that this is where all the action really happens.”

Earlier too, while shooting for his film Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer had cut himself off from everyone for some time. He immersed himself in reading about the character and trying to live the character’s life. When compared both the films, the Dil Dhadakne Do star said, “I’ve had more time to prep for this [his part in Padmavati] than I did for Bajirao Mastani. I got a few more days this time around.” Talking about his character he said, “It’s completely out of my comfort zone. It’s a negative character. And to make such maverick decisions at this stage [of my career], is a huge risk. But I have to keep my creativity alive. I have always maintained that something is worth doing only if it thoroughly scares you.”

Well, that was quite a studious approach for a fun actor like him. We loved Ranveer Singh in his previous movies especially in Bajirao Mastani. He will now also be seen in Aditya Chopra’s ‘Befikre’ where he plays a young and careless boy next door, opposite Vaani Kapoor. It will be fun to watch Ranveer transforming himself from his positive funky character in Befikre to his negative and serious one in Padmavati! So, Ranveer Singh is in a do-not-disturb mode zone now and we are just eager to watch him on the silver screen now!
