Ranveer Singh had signed up to perform at the grand premiere of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2018. However, in a sudden turn of events, the actor has injured his shoulder. The injury reportedly took place during a recent foodball match. His spokesperson gave out a statement confirming the same and read, “Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to over strain it for at least 1 month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for Gully Boy as per schedule.”  It’s rather unfortunate that this mishap took place right ahead of this year’s IPL Grand Premiere, which is slated to take place on April 7.

Given that the actor was to perform at the opening ceremony, this accident couldn’t have taken place at a more inopportune moment. Buzz was that he was to be the highest paid actor at the IPL this year. So will the actor then take the risk of performing on April 7 with the shoulder injury? The spokersperson further clarified in the statement,”  “Ranveer is in consultation with the doctors who will advice him, in a day or two, on whether he would able to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he is doing the finale act.” Well, we certainly hope he recovers soon as no function/ premiere would be complete without the energetic performance of the Padmaavat actor.
