Sanjay Dutt made a smashing comeback this month with Bhoomi. While the film didn’t do any wonders at the box office, Baba’s angry avatar did impress critics. The actor has now gone on to shoot for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Sahib, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
But apart from his film, fans have been waiting to see his life story unfold on the big screen. Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt’s life, starring Ranbir Kapoor is one film that has kept the media, critics and fans in equal anticipation.
And now, we have just learnt what the film is going to be titled. As per a report on a news portal, the Dutt biopic will be called Sanju, a name the actor is endearingly addressed with by his friends and loved ones. Hirani is right now giving his ambitious project the final touches. Ranbir, who is scheduled to start shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s tentatively titled Dragon, has finished his parts for the Dutt biopic with only one special song left to shoot.
India.com has learnt that the song might be a reprised version of a famous song from Sanjay Dutt’s film. Our source close to the film revealed, “Initially, the plan was to reprise the Tamma Tamma Loge from Thanedaar (1991). But after the version in Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Hirani dropped the idea. He focused on finishing the film first and then getting in the song last.”
Well, this has only made us all the more excited. Ranbir Kapoor’s leaked look as Dutt has already given us a glimpse of the perfection we can expect and added with Hirani’s direction and storytelling, the Dutt Biopic, ‘Sanju’, will be one of the biggest films of 2018. The film is slated for a March 2018 release.
