Robin Williams set to come back with Mrs Doubtfire 2 sequel

Remember that classic comedy of 1993 where Robin Williams was seen playing a disguise under the costume of a Scottish nanny named Euphegenia Doubtfire? Well, Chris Columbus is reportedly planning to return to the direction of the sequel to Mrs. Doubtfire with David Berenbaum as the script – writer. Mrs Doubtfire was a huge box office success in 1993. The film managed to make not only $219 million domestically, but an additional $222 million at the foreign box office – totaling nearly $450 million internationally. The novel was based on a book called ‘Alias Madame Doubtfire’ written by the author, Anne Fine.
The story revolves around a talented but recently unemployed voice actor named Daniel Hillard. For some reason Chris’ wife, Miranda considers him to be irresponsible and asks for a divorce. Additionally, he gets the custody of her three children who Chris very much loves. After which Daniel learns that Miranda is planning to hire a housekeeper, and this is where all the fun begins. The movie won two Golden Globes (Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor – Musical or Comedy) and an Oscar for Best Makeup.
Although, the sequel is still under an early development stage, public is quite excited regarding this news. We will surely keep you updated.
