There were crores riding on the actor and we spoke to trade analysts to understand how his future projects will be affected.
Salman has been shooting Race 3 and just finished a schedule in Abu Dhabi. While the film is almost complete, it is not wrapped up as yet and was supposed to release on Eid this year, on June 15. Talking exclusively to India.com, Taran Adarsh opined that it is too early to say how much money was riding on Salman. “Race 3 is almost complete while Dabangg 3, Bharat, Kick 2 are all in the pipeline. But nothing had gone on floors as yet.”
The actor was also supposed to start shooting for his TV game show Dus Ka Dum, the promos of which are already out but the premiere date wasn’t revealed. Talking about the same, analyst Komal Nahata said, “As far as I know, Salman hadn’t started shooting for 10 Ka Dum, so the makers can always decide to push it to a later date or chance the anchor and go ahead.” About his films, Nahata said, “He had only shot for Race 3 so around Rs 125 are riding on him as of now and the Eid release will take a major hit in Salman’s absence.” About the other films that were waiting to go on floors, he opined, “Perhaps Salman planned it that way since the blackbuck verdict could go either way.”
