Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s upcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai has been in news and all for the right reasons. The posters, trailer and now the songs, all have been loved by fans and have got thumbs up from critics as well. With no other big release in December, after Padmavati got postponed, and 2017 being a ‘disappointing’ year for Bollywood so far, all hopes are pinned on this romantic-action-comedy to help the Hindi film industry redeem itself.
While Ali Abbas Zafar has been talking about how the action film will wow audience when the film hits screens on December 22, we are waiting to watch Salman and Katrina’s chemistry. Interestingly, the two ex-lovers haven’t looked so hot and in love with each other onscreen, even when they were a number. What the trailer just gave us a glimpse of, the song Dil Diyan Gallan has proved. Composed by Vishal Dadlani – Shekhar Ravjiani and sung by Atif Aslam, the songs is penned by Irshad Kamil and talks about the simple phases of a romantic relationship.
It also shows the maturity of Tiger and Zoya’s relationship which has come a long way since Ek Tha Tiger (2012). The making of the song Dil Diyan Gallan was recently released and we have fallen in love with it once again. The short video traces the journey of the song – right from the beautiful location in Austria and the scenic snow-clad Alps, to the choreography to all the fun that the crew had behind the scenes – the video is a visual treat. But the best part about it when you see Salman and his Tigress Katrina goofing around. There is a moment in the song, when choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant is trying to get Salman do a step right. They are shooting this at the museum where the actor just breaks into moon-walking side-ways and then back-wards, a la Michael Jackson, with his eyes stuck on Katrina, perhaps to gauge her reaction. To see if she is impressed on not.
Watch the making of Dil Diyan Gallan below and see for yourself. The moment we are referring to comes at – 2:38.
Talking about the song, composers Vishal-Shekhar revealed a rather interesting fact. This is the first time that the duo collaborated with Atif Aslam. In the making video, they shared that they made him sing in lower notes to give the song a soulful touch. And they made the right decision, didn’t they? About the visual aspect of Dil Diyan Gallan, director Ali Abaas Zafar talked about how they went to some virgin locations in Austria to give the song an ‘aloof’ kind of feel. The idea was to show the two characters – Tiger and Zoya – lost in their own world – with their eyes and attention only for each other. Now that you know the USP of the song, watch it once again and fall in love with Tiger and Zoya.
