That Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo in Salman Khan‘s upcoming film, Tubelight is known to all, but what many don’t know is that how SRK came on-board for the Kabir Khan directorial. Well, the mystery around that finally came to an end today as Salman revealed how SRK became a part of Tubelight. So an event was held couple of hours back in Mumbai where Salman introduced his little co-star Matin Rey Tangu to the media. It is during this event, Salman opened up on Shah Rukh’s special appearance in Tubelight. “When Kabir narrated the script, that time only he said that he wants Shah Rukh for the cameo. So I called him (SRK) and asked him about it and when I said I want you to do this small thing, even before I completed it, he said yes, let’s do it,” revealed Salman. That shows the kind of strong friendship that Salman and SRK share. Like any other friendship, there have been ups and downs in their bond too, but it’s good to see that they are ready to be by each other’s side no matter what.

Talking about Tubelight, it was recently reported that the duration of the film has been cut short and therefore Tubelight will be Salman’s shortest film. It was earlier made of 2 hrs and 35 minutes of duration. However now the movie will be only of 2 hours and 16 minutes. Apparently the decision was taken last minute. “Kabir Khan’s films are usually lengthier than the stipulated two hours that the multiplex-viewing audience favours. His last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan was nearly three hours long, and worked just fine. Tubelight was edited and readied at a run time of two hours and 35 minutes. But the team decided to slash the film by 14 more minutes just a week before its release,” a source was quoted by DNA.
