Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will co-host the upcoming edition of the Star Screen awards here on December 4. “A lot of fun segments are lined up for the blockbuster Khan duo. Shah Rukh Khan’s wit and charm coupled with Salman’s impeccable comic timing will surely leave the audience asking for more,” said a source.
It can recalled that Salman and Shah Rukh were earlier seen in Rakesh Roshan’s superhit film Karan Johar. While there have been some more films post that where the two have briefly shared screen space, their fans have been waiting to see Bollywood’s Karan Arjun to unite again for a full-fledged project. The two were seen in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and also in Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam. Salman also did a cameo in one of the songs in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om with Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone in the lead. However, the tiff between the two Khans a few years ago and the ensued enmity between the two had thrashed all possibilities of them starring together. The entire B-town was jubilant when the two sorted out the issues between them and once again became friends. And now, as we all know it, the bond is just getting stronger by the day.
Just yesterday, Salman unveiled the first look of Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma’s next film, helmed by Imtiaz Ali.
Salman tweeted on Tuesday: “SRK ki film aa rahi hai. Date maine decide kar di hai (I’ve decided the date). Title tum log decide kardo. Best of luck Anushka Sharma, Imtiaz Ali.” Featuring SRK and Anushka on the poster, it also has a date mentioned – August 11, 2017. Anushka replied saying: “What’s this Shah Rukh Khan? Our release date’s decided!?” To which SRK said: “Arre I had no idea. We are still searching for the title. What to do now? Go with this date or what?”
An excited Alia Bhatt, who shared screen space with SRK in “Dear Zindagi”, wrote: “August is too far away ya! Anushka Sharma, Shah Rukh Khan. Am saving the date immediately. But Imtiaz what to put in as the title? Can’t wait.” Anushka finally tweeted: “Mark your calendar guys – 11th August, 2017! What you seek… is seeking you.”
While we may still have to wait to see the two Khans come together in a film, we will make do with the film awards for now. While one is witty, the other is outspoken and we are anticipating to have a fun time witnessing their great camaraderie.
