Salman Khan‘s Tubelight is finally going to hit the theatres this Friday (June 23). The superstar has been promoting the film left, right and center as he is dropping by on the sets of every other reality TV show and giving interviews to various media outlets. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars Salman’s real life brother Sohail Khan, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and Matin Rey Tangu. While Sohail has been promoting the film with Salman all this while, we were waiting for Zhu Zhu and Matin to join them. Unfortunately, Zhu Zhu won’t be promoting Tubelight with Salman, Sohail and Kabir, but Matin joined the promotions today as a special event was held to introduce him to the media. All the journalists present at the event just couldn’t get enough of Matin and his camaraderie with Salman.

In all his interviews, Salman has gone gaga about Matin, and his fondness for him was quite evident at the event too. Salman introduced Matin, and they both shook a leg on The Radio Song. And then began the Q&A, but not before a cute banter between Salman and Matin. Salman asked Matin that what will do if the press writes non-sense about the former. To this Matin said, “I will do karate and fight with them.” How cute is that! ALSO READSalman Khan has some important questions for film critics! ‘Why don’t you make films yourself?’ – Exclusive

Kabir, who was also present at the event revealed that Matin was selected from over 500 kids, who auditioned for the role. A workshop was conducted for the 10 kids that were selected, but according to the filmmaker, Matin was so impressive that it was hard to ignore him. Kabir also gave us a lowdown on Matin’s first day on the sets. They were shooting in Leh and Matin felt sick and threw up on the first day.

When a journalist asked Matin that what he wants to become when he grows up. To this, he said, “abhi actor ban gaya hoon na, toh acting hi karoonga (Now that I have become an actor, I will continue acting).”

Well, clearly, he stunned everyone with his replies. We are all the way more excited to see what he has in store for us with Tubelight. Mutual thoughts?
