Those who know Shahid Kapoor, know how the actor is passionate about what he does, loves the love and appreciation he receives from fan and enjoys being in the spotlight. And yet, there is something that has made the actor rethink his choice of career and wish he was in another job, after spending almost 15 years in Bollywood. Blame on his fatherhood and daughter Misha Kapoor. Like all star kids, Misha too is always under the media glare, with shutterbugs tailing her every move and this bothers the Padmaavat actor.
According to a report on Filmfare, Shahid said, “My daughter didn’t choose this glamorous life. What’s her fault? I hate to think of all the glare that’s on her. That is probably the only time I feel I should have had another job.” The actor also said that all this media attention is not good for kids since it keeps them away from spending a normal childhood. “I don’t want her to deal with it. It’s not good for children to go through this. They have a right to a normal childhood.” Shahid’s concerns resonate with Taimur Ali Khan’s grandfather and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s father Randhir Kapoor who felt that his grandson has too much attention and that media has robbed him off a normal childhood.
Talking at an event, Randhir had said that everyone even knows Taimur’s maid now since his pictures with her and all over the place. Sadly, it is a price that stars have to pay. Their fans not just love them and are interested about their films, but also about their personal lives and their families. Shahid’s wife Mira Rajput too was under scrutiny when they got married. Right to what she said to what she wore, all became news and people had an opinion it. But for someone as possessive and protective (father/husband) as Shahid, it is only natural for him to feel uncomfortable with all this extra attention.
On the work front, the actor is busy completing Batti Gul Meter Chalu and is touted to play the male lead in the remake of Raat Aur Din with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
