Shivaay music review: Songs in Ajay Devgn’s film are very addictive!

Ajay Devgn’s upcoming high action drama film ‘Shivaay’ is going to release in four days that is October 28. The much awaited film has already become talk of the town for its mind-blowing action sequences, fantastic visual effects and breathtaking locales. ‘Shivaay’ has garnered praises for its posters, two trailers and songs. In the first trailer we saw an action-packed sequence and lot of drama. But the second trailer that released today was totally different. It was high on emotion and it also showed to what length a father would go in order to protect his daughter. Speaking about the film’s music, it’ll leave you awestruck. ‘Shivaay’ music composer Mithoon has tried something different, music that is out of his comfort zone and trust us, the songs of ‘Shivaay’ are just outstanding.

‘Shivaay’ has a fabulous mix of artistes and this mixture is just WOW. The vocals and music for every song blend perfectly. The singers are Mithoon, Mohit Chauhan, Sukhwinder Singh, Arijit Singh, Badshah, Megha Sriram Dalton, Anugrah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Jasleen Royal and Kailash Kher. The lyrics of ‘Shivaay’ have been penned by Sayeed Quadri and Sandeep Shrivastava. With such fabulous artistes, the songs of the film have also become the talking point and they are very addictive. Let’s take a look at the songs of ‘Shivaay’.

Bolo Har Har Har

The song opens with Mohit Chauhan’s soulful voice but the transition in terms vocals, music and lyrics is something that will blow your mind away. There is a bunch of singers involved in this track and we think it is one such kind of a song that is not-so-regular compared to other mainstream films. The sholkas used in this song will grab your attention for sure. This song is trippy and the youngsters are going to love it for sure. Darkhaast

The melodious love ballad Darkhaast sung by Arijit Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan is a soothing track. And the stars Ajay Devgn and Erika Kaar take romance to a new level in this song. This track is not like the usual romantic numbers. It is soft but slightly fast paced track but that won’t drive away from the factor of romance. It is soothing to the ears but we doubt if it will last in your playlist for that long while, may be till the buzz of ‘Shivaay’ is on.

Raatein

This song is one of our favourites after Bolo Har Har Har. This melodious song is perfectly sung by Jasleen Royal and we don’t think anybody else could have sung it so well. The song focuses on the bond of a father and daughter that is between Ajay Devgn and Abigail Eames. The song is actually simple and sweet but there is something special in here that will tug at your heartstrings. There is so much of innocence filled in here and we just love it, thanks to Jasleen. And yes, this is much much much better than the reprise version. (ALSO READ: Shivaay: Ajay Devgn thanks censor chief Pahlaj Nihalani for U/A certificate)

Tere Naal Ishqa

The song Tere Naal Ishqa is the last song from ‘Shivaay’ album. This heart-wrenchingly beautiful song is sung by Kailash Kher. But if you compare it with the above three songs, it’s not that great. But you’ll love the portion where Kailash sings high-pitched note and wherever there are variations. It’s a situational song about love and longing but it offers nothing new in the genre of romantic songs.

Our Verdict

The songs in ‘Shivaay’ are well composed and beautifully sung. The combination of artistes for every song has definitely done wonders. Our favourite tracks from the album are Bolo Har Har Har and Raatein. How about you guys? Let us know your views in the comment section below.
