Recently Salman Khan took to Twitter and shook the social media platform when he announced Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s next film. He posted the first look poster of the film which revealed the release date. He further invited fans to suggest the title of this unnamed film that will be directed by Imtiaz Ali and release on August 11, 2015. However, promoting his friends or their films is not new for Salman. Earlier last week, he had put up a post posing bare-chested to promote Shah Rukh-Alia Bhatt’s Dear Zindagi.

The Tubelight star has also been instrumental in launching and promoting some star kids in Bollywood. The latest one to come under his wings is Suneil Shetty and Mana Shetty’s younger son, Ahan Shetty. The young star in the making, had already been training under Salman Khan since a year before heading to London to train under an action specialist. He will soon be making a debut in Sajid Nadiadwala’s action flick. Today morning, Salman Khan posted a picture of a shirtless Ahan Khan, showing off his back and his pumped up body. Certainly, this young Shetty is going to have Salman Khan guiding him through initial phases of his Bollywood journey. Here is taking a look at other star kids that the Sultan Salman Khan has played a Godfather to.

Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor
When Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor-Neetu Singh’s son Ranbir Kapoor made their Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya, they had a big box office challenge looking at them. Their movie was hitting screens the same day as Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om, that also marked Deepika Padukone’s debut. No wonder then, the promotions were being held at the same time for both the film and therefore garnering eyeballs was very important. Salman Khan, who made a guest appearance in the movie, made sure to be present at some of the promotional events of the film to give a morale boost to the newbies and also use his star power to get them noticed.

Sonakshi Sinha
We all know that it was Salman who motivated Sonakshi to lose weight and give Bollywood a try. She got a dream launch opposite the Khan in ‘Dabangg’ and also starred in Dabangg 2. There has been no looking back for the svelte Sinha girl.

Arjun Kapoor
Remember the song, ‘Main toh superman, Salman ka fan’ from Arjun Kapoor’s film Tevar? Well, it wasn’t just a song but the young Kapoor’s true emotion. And why not? After all Boney Kapoor’s son has trained under Salman to get into his fittest self to get ready to face the cameras.

Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty
Aditya Pancholi and Salman Khan are good friends and therefore, Salman was more than happy to give him a Bollywood debut in his own production, ‘Hero’. The film also starred Salman’s other friend, Suneil Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty in the female lead.

Apart from these noteworthy debuts, Tiger Zinda Hai star has been a guiding light for late filmmaker Kamal Amrohi’s grandson Bilal Amrohi who debuted in ‘O Teri’. He has also launched and promoted new faces in Bollywood. The likes of Zarine Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sneha Ullal, Daisy Shah, Bhoomika Chawla, Sana Khan amongst others have all been able to get attention in Bollywood due to this Khan.
