Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, who were rumoured to be together for almost two years, made their relationship public via Instagram on Anil Kapoor’s 60th birthday celebration in London in December 2016. Ever since the couple, who has always been very tight-lipped about her personal life, made their relationship public, fans were keen to know when Sonam and her businessman- boyfriend Ahuja are tying the knot. Well, here’s something (a news) that will make your day.
Lovebirds Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are all set to take the plunge. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the couple, who is certain about tying the knot, have finalised the date and venue already. Reportedly, the couple will get married over a two-day ceremony on May 11 and 12 in Geneva, Switzerland. A source from the team that is planning the wedding, in a statement to the leading daily, said, “The date and venue for the wedding have been locked and mass bookings for flights are presently underway. Her dad Anil Kapoor is personally making phone calls to invite guests.”
Sonam and Anand were on a lookout for an ideal destination for their wedding. In January, when Sonam, who is the brand ambassador for a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer, was in Geneva, she felt that the city was the picture-perfect venue. So, the actress, along with her younger sister, filmmaker and stylist Rhea Kapoor, checked out several locations before she could finalise the venue.
